![]() ![]() If it weren't for the absolutely unnecessary use of the F-word dozens of times in literally every level, I'd give the game 5 stars. This was a great step forward in terms of storyline for Splinter Cell. I've heard about a scene in a club where girls dressed in their underwear move their bodies in certain ways for men, but I never saw anything close to that.īut what keeps drawing me back to the game is the compelling storyline! It's like re-playing the game all over again every time! I love the story, and I love how we get to see more of Sam's pre-Echelon life. Personally, I have not experienced any sexual content, and I've played through the entire game. ![]() The only reason I didn't is because I was warned of the insane amount of vulgar language. Personally, it made me uncomfortable to hear the F-word so many times per level, I almost wanted to stop playing the game entirely. And unlike other games such as Gears of War, there is no way to filter the language, outside of hacking the game. The hostiles are CONSTANTLY dropping F-bombs like it's the cool thing to do. As these interrogations proceed, you can visibly see the victim's face being more and more beat up, including open cuts, bleeding mouths, and (in one scene) coughing up blood. The most intense interrogation scene I've experienced was more than halfway through the game, where the man draws a knife on Sam, who grabs the knife, twists the guy's arm, and stabs the knife though his hand and into a tree stump. The protagonist, Sam Fisher, is presented as a highly-trained agent of a fictional black-ops sub-division within the NSA, dubbed 'Third Echelon'. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a series of award-winning stealth video games developed by Ubisoft. ![]() In almost every level, you interrogate people to get them to tell you what you want to know. A subreddit to discuss anything and everything related to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. However, Sam shows no sign of mercy throughout the game. As the game progresses, we learn that maybe his daughter's death (run over by a drunk driver) wasn't an accident. For years, Sam Fisher has been off the grid and on his own, chasing his daughters murderer. The story follows Sam Fisher, who is now retired from Third Echelon. Hopefully, if the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell remake is well received and the franchise is given the attention it deserves again, the highs of its co-op stories can return with it.Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is probably the most profane and violent Splinter Cell game to date. However, they remain some of the franchise's best and were a great addition to the stealth genre in general. Unfortunately, the earlier Splinter Cell co-op modes have been largely forgotten about in the games' rereleases, and their official servers are long shut down. As Ubisoft is making changes to Splinter Cell's story and expanding upon it anyway, it does grant it the opportunity to explore Madison and Blaustein's story further with a prequel co-op campaign. Unfortunately, it contradicted some of the discoveries made later in Splinter Cell's story, and therefore remasters such as the PS3's Splinter Cell HD Trilogy decided to use the Xbox's original intro, which was essentially a trailer for the title, with the alternate opening being largely forgotten about. The PS2 and GameCube versions of Splinter Cell had an opening cutscene that showed the final mission of doomed CIA agents Alice Madison and Robert Blaustein as they stealthily infiltrated an enemy base before being captured. ![]()
